OCR: To Bill Buck Viscorp, Dear BIli Buck, I am and a Amiga enthusiast and have been for 6 years now. I have watched the diminish of commodore, the sorrowful loss of Amiga Technology for the first time, only to return in to the band wagon with ESCom ,the not so mighty dodgy PC dealer. I watched as you Bill Buck head of VIScorp take control of the Amiga's future. So far ESCom brought us there naff Commodore PC witch they took advantage of to sell PC's of all cheap things to do. All I ask of you is to READ the letter ALL the way through and make a decision whether you think it is the right choice, but I will ashore you it is the right choice. I also have a lot of friends who think the Amiga is still by far the leading computer and they own PC's. My other mates own Amiga's and this is also a letter on there behalf since they don't own there own printers, So I came to the rescue. I would REALLY appreciate if you would write back since 1 took my time ( 8 months) to compile this whole letter completely. Now shall we get down to business with the next generation Amiga. The Amiga is getting very old now and could do with a massive face lift Firstly the hardware, with-out new hardware you can't have new software. This Next generation Amiga mentioned through the rest of the letter should be at the price of a good pc. A hard drive as standard preferably a cheap 3.5" drive at around 500mb, also a cd rom running very fast that you can boot from and write to. 64 meg ram would do nicely with a Risc based processor running at 500-1000 mhz and 30 polygon textured processor running at the same speed.128 bit high performance u.m.a. controller (unified memory architecture) using fast SDRAMS of 400mhz of up to a max of 6GB per second. 128 bit busses and local ones. An PPU and MMU built in. All the chips need updating and 128 bit graphics built in. A new chip called the Chris chip it is like a permanent ram but it only stores documents that you write and save to it. Also a chip called Mat this saves the games saves to it so you can find straight away. Each of these chips has a memory of 20mb.There should also be graphics of 2000 x 2500 pixels. There should be 4 simms slots that take in 64meg ram in each. Sound is another issue, we need new sound facilities and a good sampler built into workbench. A new kickstart and workbench version is needed badly. A new 200 watt power supply because the last lot that commodore made were naff. Speakers should come with the new Amiga preferably a pair. A modem does not need to be as standardbut there should be an option if you want one the same goes with a monitor. The new Amiga should be in a tower with 7 zorro slots,4 pc isa, 4x pc pci, 3x video slots. A printer as an option a colour one at that. A high density disk drives built in but you can
